Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was just perfect. The rooms had a long row of windows offering stunning views of the green Asturian hillsides topped by the Picos de Europa. It was a spotlessly clean and comfortable experience, with a great shower and bath, comfy bed, and lovely sounds of wildlife at night. The service, led by Pilar and Jim, was wonderful, with the team being excellent, very helpful, and considerate. The location just on the outskirts with fantastic views and close to the village was invaluable. The dining experience was super delicious, offering an excellent continental selection. The facilities were top-notch, providing everything I needed for a great stay.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished, sometimes had their mountain view obscured by large vans parked outside on the ground floor. The service, while provided by charming and friendly staff who knew a lot about the area and northern Spain, was somewhat limited in offerings like car hire or housekeeping. The location was great for exploring the Picos de Europa, with fantastic views from the outside terrace and restaurant, but access via a narrow single track lane required careful navigation. The dining experience was excellent, offering a continental selection with freshly cooked eggs, although the craftsmanship of the baths and rooms was not top-notch.
The hotel offers stunning views of the high mountains to the south, and the rooms are spacious, very clean, and incredibly comfortable with excellent lighting, a good mattress and pillows, a powerful shower, and no noise from other rooms. The service is excellent, with very helpful and considerate staff, and the location is perfect for hiking in Picos with fantastic mountain views. The dining experience is very tasty, but service can be slow at times. Overall, a simple and cozy hotel with a picture postcard view.
